Our Story

The Vision: Bringing Quality Back to Fashion

Tactile was born in July 2022 from a lifelong creative dream and a steadfast belief that true luxury should endure. Founded by Christine Bajer, a Greater Boston native with a background in software selling strategy, Tactile was built on business grit, technical discipline, and an unyielding commitment to exceptional design.

In an era of fast trends and disposable clothing, Tactile exists to restore authenticity to the modern wardrobe. We design high-quality, foundational pieces engineered to last for years in your closet—garments that gracefully evolve with time, body, and occasion.

The Craftsmanship: Old-World Artistry Meets Modern Vision

To bring this vision to life without compromise, Christine brought Tactile’s foundation to the heart of New York City’s Garment District. The brand’s first collections were developed alongside world-class atelier and designer Cesar Galindo, whose storied career includes work with fashion icons like Diane Von Furstenberg and Oprah. Under Galindo’s mentorship, Tactile grounded its identity in artisanal garment construction, precision tailoring, and uncompromised textile integrity.

The visual narrative of Tactile took flight through a close creative partnership with photographer and creative director Diego Larez. From New York to Los Angeles, their collaboration showcases the transformative nature of Tactile pieces—demonstrating how a single, beautifully made garment transitions effortlessly from morning workwear to casual afternoons, and into exclusive evening galas.

The Name & Philosophy

The name Tactile is a deliberate tribute to the sensory experience of clothing. We believe luxury is felt as deeply as it is seen. By prioritizing the weight, movement, and texture of premium fabrics, our garments provide a physical sense of grounding that translates into quiet, effortless confidence.

The Tactile Life: Built for the Big Rooms

Tactile is designed for the multidimensional lifestyle. We engineer architectural silhouettes that command presence, allowing you to move seamlessly between:

  • Commanding Workwear: Sharp, architectural lines tailored for performance and presence in the professional sphere.

  • Effortless Versatility: Fluid, adaptable pieces that elevate everyday life.

  • Evening Distinction: High-impact, elegant silhouettes designed for galas, dinners, and life's most memorable moments.

Global Spotlight

What began at the cutting table has rapidly captured international attention. In a short time, Tactile has been featured in the pages of Vogue, ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar, and Grazia, and worn by style icons including Yovanna Ventura, Madi Monroe, and Eva de Dominici.

At its core, Tactile remains a testament to modern ambition and uncompromising standards—proof that when meticulous craftsmanship meets intentional design, fashion becomes an investment in yourself.
